On January 13, 2025, the following attractions and other offerings will close in DinoLand U.S.A. permanently: TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games (midway-style games located at Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama), and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures (the area’s gift shop which also serves as an annual passholder magnet distribution center periodically).

This section of the park will get rid of its dinosaur themeing in exchange for a new, Encanto-themed ride and a carousel.

Once those three attractions close in January, the only things that will remain in DinoLand U.S.A. for a little while longer will include: DINOSAUR (the area’s main ride and its gift shop), Restaurantosaurus (the area’s quick-dine restaurant), and The Boneyard (the only kids’ playground in Disney’s Animal Kingdom). No word yet on when exactly they’ll close, but it is expected they will close months after the January closure. The only thing Disney specifically said about the rest of DinoLand U.S.A. was that the DINOSAUR ride would stay open a bit longer than the rest of the land’s attractions during this phased construction period.
