Disney just revealed new photos and video of the newest drone show taking place on Walt Disney Word property.

The Disney Dreams That Soar drone show will take place at Disney Springs starting May 24.

The theme of the show is Disney characters who dream of flying — whether it be physically flying or figuratively (wanting their dreams to soar or reaching for the stars with their aspirations).

The Disney Live Entertainment team is behind this limited-time nighttime experience and they’re using exactly 800 drones for this show.

So far, we’ve seen the drones create characters in the sky like Pete Pan, Grogu, Dumbo, Wall-E, Eve, Buzz Lightyear, Orange Bird, the Rocketeer, the house from Up!, and Baymax. They also create other images that are not necessarily characters like the Death Star from Star Wars.

And these characters are big. For example, Disney says Baymax will be nearly twice the height of Spaceship Earth.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a Disney show without music. Disney Dreams That Soar will feature songs from well-known soundtracks as well as an original song.

Disney says the best place to watch this new show will be along the waterway in the Disney Springs West Side.

There will be 2 shows each night from May 24 – September 2 and each show is just under 10 minutes long.
