Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be under refurbishment starting this year and we finally have the full time frame.
Bay Lake Tower will be undergoing construction from September 2024 – September 2025.
When you try to book a room at Bay Lake Tower Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you now see a disclaimer in red stating:
From September 2024 to September 2025, room refurbishment work will take place in Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. During this time, Guests will see and hear construction work throughout Bay Lake Tower. Please allow extra time for travel as alternate paths may be utilized.

This is the first large refurbishment at that resort that we know of since it opened in 2009.
Bay Lake Tower is a Disney Vacation Club resort hotel. The tower is right next to Disney’s Contemporary Resort tower which underwent a renovation to retheme its rooms to The Incredibles from 2021-2022.
It has not been confirmed if the Bay Lake Tower will also be rethemed to the Incredibles, but in the past it has shared similar thumbing to the main Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Walt Disney World also recently announced the details for guest room refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
