Jonathan Majors was found guilty today of misdemeanor assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

At the conclusion of the two-week trial, a nine-person jury in New York City also found Majors not guilty of intentional assault in the third degree and not guilty of aggravated harassment in second degree.

Majors continues to maintain his innocence through his lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, but has not publicly commented on the case himself. He did not testify in the trial after Jabbari testified for several days.

Jabbari claims that on March 25 she saw a text message on Majors’ cell phone from another woman while in a private car. She testified that when she grabbed his phone, Majors physically assaulted her.

Prosecutors said after Jabbari grabbed his phone, Majors slapped Jabbari’s face and fractured one of her middle fingers.

Majors’ lawyer told the jury he did not physically assault his ex-girlfriend and that it was Majors who suffered injuries during the incident in the form of scratches.

Hours after the incident, Majors was arrested after he returned to their apartment to find Jabbari unconscious and he called 911.

Majors is facing up to a year in prison. Sentencing is set for Feb. 6.

The arrest already damaged Majors’ career, with Searchlight Features (owned by The Walt Disney Company) removed Magazine Dreams from its release calendar which Majors stars in. According to The Hollywood Reporter, his publicity firm, the Lede Company, and managers at Management 360 also dropped Majors as a client.

Majors plays He Who Remains/Nathaniel Richards in Marvel’s “Loki” seasons 1 (2021) and 2 (2023) on Disney+ and Kang the Conquerer in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” (2023). He is set to reprise his role as Kang in the upcoming Marvel film, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” (2026).

Neither Marvel Studios, nor The Walt Disney Company (which owns Marvel Studios) have commented on the verdict.

Majors has also starred in critically-acclaimed movies such as “Creed III” (2023) and “The Last Black Man in San Francisco” (2019).
