Walt Disney World debuted its new drone show, Disney Dreams That Soar, tonight (May 24, 2024) at Disney Springs.

The theme of the show is Disney characters who dream of flying — whether it be physically flying or figuratively (wanting their dreams to soar or reaching for the stars with their aspirations).

The Disney Live Entertainment team is using 800 drones to create characters and other images in the sky for this show.

And these characters are big. For example, Disney says Baymax is nearly twice the height of Spaceship Earth.

Disney Dreams That Soar features songs from well-known soundtracks as well as an original song.

The show runs from from May 24 – September 2, it runs just under 10 minutes, and there are two showings each night: 9 PM and 10:45 PM (times subject to change; make sure to check the Disney Springs website for the accurate times on the day you’d like to visit).

Due to the show being outside, this show is subject to cancellation in case of inclement weather.

VIEWING TIPS: The best spot to watch the show is along the waterway in the Disney Springs West Side. As you face the water, you should be able to see the boat dock on your left and the hot air ballon to your right. Viewing areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
