Hollywood Studios is turning 35 and Walt Disney World is gearing up for a special celebration on May 1.
A “special moment” is set to take place at 11 a.m. at the Theater of the Stars (where the Beauty and the Beach stage show plays, near the Fantasmic entrance).
Disney is also releasing exclusive merchandise to mark the occassion.
This collection will be available for a limited time at the Stage 1 Company Store. It includes a Loungefly backpack, shirts, hats, and an exclusive pin.
Guests will need to join a virtual queue starting at 7 a.m. in order to enter the store. A mobile checkout option will be available for guests inside the store.
Disney also shared the following note about the merchandise collection:
*Merchandise is subject to availability and inventory may sell out. Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee access to this event. Purchasing limits apply. To enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios, valid admission and theme park reservation (if applicable) required.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened on May 1, 1989 as the Disney-MGM Studios. Disney removed MGM licensing and officially changed the park’s name to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on January 7, 2008 due to licensing issues.
