How It Works – How Do I Sign Up for Annual Passholder Previews for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?

A virtual queue will be used for these previews. That means there won’t be advanced registration for these previews as we have had for other new rides in the past, and gaining a preview slot will not be guaranteed even if you have a valid park admission on that day.

Theme park reservations are required and therefore blockout dates apply. Annual Passholders must have valid admission on the preview date.

Hotel reservations are not required in order to get a virtual queue to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during annual passholder preview days.

Annual passholders will have 2 chances each preview date to join the virtual queue. One at 7 AM and one at 1 PM.

For the 7 AM virtual queue, passholders must have a valid theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom. For the 1 PM virtual queue, passholders must have a valid reservation for any Walt Disney World theme park (Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Magic Kingdom).

Guests do not have to be in the park in order to register for a virtual queue slot.

How to Get the 7 AM Virtual Queue

Make a park reservation as soon as possible for Magic Kingdom (as of 10 AM on May 14 there are no more Magic Kingdom annual passholder reservations available for any of the passholder preview days). If you have a park reservation for any other park other than Magic Kingdom, you will not be able to sign up for the 7 AM virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (but you can try at 1 PM).

Remember, you do not need to be scanned in at a theme park nor do you need to be physically inside a theme park in order to register for this virtual queue.

Before 7 AM on the preview day: Start signing in to your My Disney Experience app and get ready to join the virtual queue at least 10 minutes before 7 AM on the day of your theme park reservation.

To join a virtual queue, click on the button on the far right bottom corner of your app. Then, scroll down and click on Virtual Queue. Click Join Virtual Queue. Make sure you’re in the Magic Kingdom section and under attractions you should see Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Confirm everyone in your party is listed (if not, click edit and add anyone that’s missing). You can confirm your party before 7 AM and it’s strongly advised you do so.

Use an accurate World Clock app or website to make sure you are ready to go at exactly 7 AM because it could take only seconds for all spots to fill up.

At 7 AM on the preview day: Click on Join Virtual Queue. Don’t stop to read anything (there’s no time!). Just keep hitting any continue or confirm buttons quickly until you get the page with your boarding group number.

What if I didn’t get a boarding group for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at 7 AM? You have another chance at 1 PM.

How to Get the 1 PM Virtual Queue

Make a park reservation as soon as possible for any Walt Disney World theme park (as of 10 AM on May 14 there are no more Magic Kingdom annual passholder reservations available for any of the passholder preview days but the other 3 parks do have reservations available).

Remember, you do not need to be scanned in at a theme park nor do you need to be physically inside a theme park in order to register for this virtual queue.

Before 1 PM on the preview day: Start signing in to your My Disney Experience app and get ready to join the virtual queue at least 10 minutes before 1 PM on the day of your theme park reservation.

You can confirm your party before 1 PM and it’s strongly advised you do so.

Remember, it is not guaranteed that you will get to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during annual passholder preview days. Getting a virtual queue is like a lottery. There will be hundreds of people trying for the same 7 AM and/or 1 PM slot just like you and not everyone will get a boarding group. And even if you are able to secure a virtual queue boarding group, technical difficulties or other situations may cause the ride to go down and be unavailable for guests for hours or even the whole day you’re there.

If you have an issue, you may visit guest relations at Magic Kingdom or the guest experience teams located throughout the Magic Kingdom park (look out for blue umbrellas that say Guest Experience team on them).

Please always be kind to cast members especially during the first few weeks of this new ride’s operation when they will be dealing with more guests than usual. This is just as new and stressful for them as it is for you.

Everyone wishing to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure must be at least 40 inches tall to ride.

If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, there are specific DVC preview days for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

D23 members also have the opportunity to buy tickets to a special preview event for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
