Disney announced the production of the new Little Mermaid stage show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now delayed and will not be opening Fall 2024 as planned.
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid stage show was the last time we saw Ariel in a show at Walt Disney World and the closed during the COVID-19 pandemic when the theme parks shut down in 2020.
In December 2023, Disney announced a new show, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, coming to the same theater that housed the Voyage of the Little Mermaid in Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Animation Courtyard theater. Since then, they’ve updated guests by saying the new production would open Fall 2024.
Now, right in the middle of Fall 2024, Disney has announced the show will not be opening in time.
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is now slated to open summer 2025.
What Is The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure Stage Show?
Disney says the show will be fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic The Little Mermaid.
