Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Walt Disney World will open to all guests starting on June 28, 2024.
Disney confirmed they will also be hosting previews for annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club members prior to the opening date. Those guests will be among the first to experience the ride and Disney says they’ll release more information about that on May 14.
This Magic Kingdom attraction used to be Splash Mountain from 1989-2023. It has now been rethemed and given a new original storyline based on characters from Disney’s Princess and the Frog movie.
The ride’s twists, turns and drops will stay the same. The big changes are the storyline and animatronics. These new animatronics do not feature the screens for faces we have seen in more recent Walt Disney World attractions such as Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway or the Seven Dwarves Mine Train.
